Nuwarra Public School – MSB Upgrade

Nuwarra Public School, located in Moorebank is motivated to work as a “family that embraces difference and nurtures understanding”. The school offers wide range of resources to help children develop.

In June 2015 and July 2015 the school had power outage. On both the occasions 100A service fuse on the meter box located in Main Switch Board (MSB) had to be replaced. On second power shut down contractor had isolated some air conditioning units temporarily to avoid the occurrence. According to the report from NSW Public Works the existing MSB was in poor condition and required 200A load instead of 100A.

It was decided that the MSB will be replaced load application form will be submitted to power provider. Southern Cross Switchboards had won the job. The MSB was rated 30kA, IP42, Form 2, 400A. The busbars were manufactured with bare copper rounded edge. The plinth was painted gloss black with mouse-hole for lifting. The Gland Plates were manufactured from 6mm TYPANEL for PVC/PVC and Radox cable.

Upon customer feedback survey we were given excellent rating in almost all of the criteria.
